The seed of Imagine the Good was conceived at an Evolutionary Women's Retreat, in Santa Barbara, CA in December 2005. Bonnie Kelley, Cheryl Gould and Margaret McAllister were joined together by a shared calling to create a documentary film about heart-centered, feminine leadership. For the next three years they informally researched and developed their concept and in 2009 Imagine the Good (the company) was birthed. It was a long gestation period and while Margaret continued to support the vision she moved on to start her own marketing company. Bonnie and Cheryl continued on as stewards of this creation and with great love, passion for the mission and an abundance of sweat equity The Heart to Lead - Women as Allies for the Greater Good, documentary film was born.

Laurie has spent her career in nonprofit management, with a focus on serving women and girls.  While the Training Director for the Girl Scouts, she spearheaded the complete redesign of the volunteer management system and oversaw the work of 35 trainers.  She has served on the board and advisory committees of other nonprofits and has been asked to speak and teach on the topic of volunteerism and organizational development. She was chosen to speak and train at the International Conference on Volunteer Management and served as the interim Editor for the International Journal of Volunteer Administration and the interim Executive Director for the World Institute of Social Architecture.

Laurie is a writer, weaving intuition, spirituality, new science, indigenous wisdom and the feminine principle in an optimistic, empowering view of the future.  Laurie's articles have appeared in Soulful Living Magazine, the Journal of Volunteer Administration, Inner Tapestry Magazine, Spiritual Renaissance Journal, and the Lightpages newsletter, Allies for the Greater Good. She is also the editor and chief writer of a quarterly e-zine published on her website www.womensinstituteme.org.

In 1981, Laurie was named Maine's Female Dirigo Scholar of the year while at Bates College where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology (pre-med) in 1985. In 1996, she graduated Phi Kappa Phi high honors with a Masters Degree concentrating on Transformative Learning and Organizational Development. Her thesis drew from organic forms and Learning Organization principles as a way to guide and inform the transformative learning path of individuals and organizations.   She later joined the adjunct faculty of The University of Southern Maine, teaching a course on marketing adult and continuing education for the Graduate School of Human Development.

As a Regional Coordinator for Gather the Women and as Founder of the Women's Institute of Maine, Laurie has expressed her deep passion to advocate for and support the emergence of women's voice and leadership.  She developed the Women's Circles Project, which provides training and a guidebook to help women form wisdom circles.  In 2008, she and her child, Christopher, designed and developed the WIM website, a clearinghouse of ideas, support and connection for women on the transformative path.

Laurie lives in Scarborough, Maine with her husband and13 year old son where her idea of a perfect day includes a walk on the shore, time to meditate or write, and time to nurture and celebrate her family and friends.

Cara's fearless, adventurous spirit makes her our young "renaissance woman of the world." In Costa Rica she worked as the director of programming for Omega Institute's satellite center. In California, she attended USC, studied film, and was a member of several film production crews. While living in the South of France, she sampled le joie de vivre while writing a screenplay. In New York, she worked at a vineyard, explored shamanism, and brought in many of the leading spiritual teachers at Omega. In Maine she demonstrated her research and organizational skills by writing the strategic business plan for a holistic learning center, and by serving on the design team developing a website for one of Portland's leading accounting firms.

Cara's light-filled and creative spirit is equally at home singing, dancing, writing, leading yoga classes, flying on the trapeze, and whipping up sensuous culinary delights in the kitchen. As a life coach, yoga instructor, and member of the Omega staff, she has developed a keen sense of what those on the spiritual path are looking for and how to connect them in an environment of deep caring, integrity, and respect (and lighthearted fun!)  Cara is a gifted facilitator and singer-songwriter, weaving music, meditations, laughter, and ceremony into our gatherings.

Carolyn is an entrepreneur and a social pioneer. She is a co-founder of the Global Family Foundation and Hummingbird Ranch, an intentional community and retreat center. She has traveled extensively - facilitating workshops, coordinating numerous global peace events, gatherings and international conferences and has received numerous awards for global service and for her innovative citizen diplomacy work in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Carolyn is an articulate speaker and an inspiring writer. She is the co-author of The Co-Creator's Handbook.

Inga is a woman of vision and deep spiritual insight. Her intimate sharing in the Heart to Lead film is one of the most poignant, proclaiming that "turning on our own lights, we could just could shift in a weekend… women are fast and they are powerful" She has served as a good will ambassador and spokesperson for The Heart to Lead. Inga traveled to Hamilton, Bermuda to attend the international debut of the film, shown at a reception at the Deputy Governor's home. Inga also manages the complex operational logistics of the household and property she shares with her husband, Jack Canfield, daughter Riley and the many animals she cares for. She is currently facilitating a women's circle in Santa Barbara, CA.

The Unity Center, San Diego CA. As a leader in everyday spirituality and conscious living, Wendy Craig-Purcell is a guiding light in this new millennium of change and possibility. Craig- Purcell is an author, speaker, radio host, spiritual leader, world peace activist, New Thought teacher and evolutionary guide. She embodies a truly rare blending of integrity, passion, spirituality, joy and kindness. She is a dynamic renaissance woman. In her book, Ask Yourself This: Questions to Open the Heart, Expand the Mind and Awaken the Soul, Craig-Purcell helps readers discover often-overlooked aspects of their spiritual natures. The questions, stories and vignettes peppered throughout Craig- Purcell's book help readers focus on these aspects of their lives in order to live authentically and realize their full potential. Published in 2009 by Unity House, this book leads readers on a path of self-discovery and empowerment. At the youthful age of 23, Craig-Purcell embraced her passion and purpose to become one of the youngest ordained ministers, graduating from the Unity School of Christianity in 1980. Today, after more than 26 years as its guiding light, she is the Spiritual Leader, Founder and CEO of The Unity Center, a 1500-member spiritual community located in San Diego, California, with an outreach of over 4,000.

Jeanie is the "Chief Visionary Officer" of LightPages Evolutionary Support System. She is currently developing the Imagine The Good data base management and networking system to support communication and collaboration within the organization and between Imagine the Good and other women's projects and communities. She has also been documenting the process of formation of Imagine The Good, and developing language to describe how it is different from earlier phases of the feminist movement. In her experience as an anthropologist, she came to understand evolutionary process in individuals and systems as fractals of one another. This forms the basis of her current work in networking and connecting women and community groups who are committed to social change, both through in-person "local" relationships and online "global" support. Jeanie is a former tenured Associate Professor of Anthropology at New York University, and has published 2 books and more than 50 research papers in her field.

Patricia is a social change activist, meditation teacher, life coach and public speaker. She has explored many forms of meditation, expanded states of consciousness, and psychotherapy. For decades she has been speaking and leading guided meditations at large events around the country addressing peace, women's and environmental issues. After graduating from Harvard University she hosted a nationally syndicated radio program that explored spiritual and social issues with leading figures in the arts, politics and sciences. In 1971, she helped her husband, Daniel Ellsberg, release to the press the Pentagon Papers, a top secret history of US involvement in Vietnam, which helped end the Vietnam War. She is working closely with her sister, Barbara Marx Hubbard, in furthering social transformation through Conscious Evolution. Patricia is currently teaching a course with her sister, Barbara Marx Hubbard, based on Barbara's book, "Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence" for The Shift Network. A central theme of her life has been bridging spiritual experience with social activism.

Barbara is the Executive Director of The Association for Global New Thought. She is the co-founder and project director of The Gandhi King Chavez Season for Nonviolence 1998 – present. She served as the Program Director of the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago and co-founder and Project Director of the Synthesis Dialogues with His Holiness, the Dalai Lama of Tibet, Dharamsala, India, 1999, Trent, Italy, 2001, and Rome, 2004. Barbara was the coordinator of U.S. based omni-local initiatives for Harvard Global Negotiation Project's Abraham Walk Initiative in the Middle East and the Conference and Program Director for the Society for Buddhist-Christian Studies in Chicago, IL and Tacoma, WA. She served as the Program Director - International Buddhist-Christian Theological Encounter, Purdue University and the Lilly Foundation; Participant - UNESCO Seminar on Religion and Peace, Granada, Spain.

Awards and Honors: Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters, Holmes Institute, 2005, and Religious Science International's first Peace Award in 2003; Recipient of The Peace Museum's Community Peacemaker Award in the area of Diplomacy; The Gandhi King Ikeda Nonviolence Award from Morehouse College.

Cheryl will serve as Co-Chair of the Board of ITG Foundation. She is the producer, art director and liaison between the creative, production and marketing teams at Imagine the Good. She is co-founder, owner and EVP of Aviatech, an award-winning interactive advertising agency in San Diego. Cheryl is an EMMY award-winning producer and art director for broadcast commercials, PSAs, documentaries, corporate films and music videos. Her cause marketing credentials include a 45-minute, 3-screen multimedia show for MADD and a year-long documentary project that explored the indigent healthcare conditions in Southern California which earned her a first place Edward L. Bernays Award from the Public Relations Society of America.  She also includes American Legacy Foundation, Avon Breast Cancer Walk and United Way among her social marketing clients. Cheryl is a member of Women in Film (WIF) and the International Documentary Association (IDA) Cheryl has been on a multi-dimensional spiritual journey since childhood and inherited her love of the natural world and Earth-based spirituality from her Cherokee grandmother Lulu.

Kathy is the Community Spiritual Leader of United Centers for Spiritual Living. She was Founding and Senior Minister of Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego, is an instructor for Holmes Institute School of Consciousness Studies and a regular contributor to Science of Mind magazine. She is a member of the Leadership Council of the Association for Global New Thought. She attended the Synthesis Dialogues with His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1999 and presented at the 2004 Parliament of the World's Religions in Barcelona, Spain and the 2009 Parliament in Melbourne, Australia. She traveled to the Middle East as the sole female religious leader for Harvard's Abraham Path Initiative, November 2006, and led an Abraham Path trip to Turkey and Syria in October 2008. Most importantly Imagine the Good, she is a woman seeking to walk a path of conscious and joyful leadership and full self-expression.

Barbara has been called "the voice for conscious evolution of our time" by Deepak Chopra and is the subject of Neale Donald Walsch's new book "The Mother of Invention". A prolific author, visionary, social innovator, evolutionary thinker and educator, she is co-founder and chairperson of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution. She is the producer and narrator of the award-winning documentary series entitled Humanity Ascending: A New Way through Together and has recently partnered with The Shift Network as a global ambassador for the conscious evolution movement; a shift from evolution by chance towards evolution by choice. Along with Stephen Dinan, she has launched the "Agents of Conscious Evolution" training and is forming a global team to co-produce a global multi-media event entitled, "Birth 2012: Co-Creating a Planetary Shift in Time" on Dec. 22, 2012 (www.birth2012.com) -- a historic, turning-point event; awakening the social, spiritual, scientific, and technological potential of humanity. She is a Fellow of The Club of Budapest, and has received an honorary PhD in Conscious Evolution from the Giordano Bruno GlobalShift University. She has established a Chair in Conscious Evolution at Wisdom University and is member of many progressive organizations, including Evolutionary Leaders Group, Global New Thought (AGNT), as well as, The World Future Society. Dr. Hubbard's books include Conscious Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential, Emergence: The Shift from Ego to Essence, The Evolutionary Journey: Your Guide to a Positive Future, and Revelation: A Message of Hope for the New Millennium.

Bonnie will serve as Co-Chair of the Board of ITG Foundation. She is the director for The Heart to Lead documentary and the co-author of the companion Book, The Guide to Heart-knowing. Her background is rich and diverse. Bonnie is the Co-Founder of Evolutionary Women, and a published author: Tinkerbell Jerusalem and Conscious Choices: An Evolutionary Woman's Guide to Life. Bonnie lived abroad for eight years. She speaks French and German and taught French at an American School in London. Bonnie is a community organizer, group facilitator and inspirational speaker. She worked with Barbara Marx Hubbard for ten years and is a founding member of the Santa Barbara Conscious Evolution Community. Bonnie considers herself "a spiritual activist for social change."

Audrey is the Production Director for the International Council 13 Indigenous Grandmothers sponsored by the Center for Sacred Studies. She is a student of indigenous rituals, ceremonies and medicine works ranging from Native American to South American peoples. She has traveled and practiced with the foremost shamanic teachers and ceremonial peoples of the world. Audrey serves as Apple Computers' logistical director for domestic and international special events. She also produces other large industrial events for such clients as CBS Television Distribution, The International Alliance for Women, and Fashion Week El Paseo. Her career has spanned more than 30 years. She has served as the senior vice president of The Clark Group, Inc., which owned four North American Van Line agencies. She has also authored two books, Money Toolbox for Women and Verbal Magik. Audrey Reed has a BA in Business, MA and PhD in Spiritual Sciences from the University of Santa Monica.

Ann has over 30 years in high-level challenging positions focused on worldwide organizational development, gender and racial issues, and the management of diversity. She is recognized as an outstanding leader in global education, training and leadership development and as a visionary who creates human interactive systems (the circle) to form an environment that assists others to understand the benefits, implications and power of local and global connections and leadership. Ann is an expert on circle facilitation, organizational development using circle principles and structure, writer, public speaker, designer of women's empowerment programs, trainer of trainers and presenters, director of volunteer programs, coalition builder. She is the co-founder and director of Circle Connections and is the co-producer and co-host Circle Connections weekly radio show. Ann created UN Women Circle's Campaign working with multi-partners in connecting grassroots women and girl's leadership to the United Nations. She is a representative to the UN, presenter of workshops and panel at the UN Commission on the Status of Women. She served as co-facilitator for the Indigenous Women's Pathways program in Alaska, where Native Alaskan women have gone from victims to leader. Ann serves as a board member of Interfaith Action working on behalf of farm workers of Immokalee, board member of Happehatchee Center, an eco-spirituality center.
